Thermal Imaging
What is Thermal Imaging?
Thermal Imaging is a non-invasive, non-destructive way of evaluating conditions below the surface. Because everything, from faulty wiring, to mold, to wet insulation can affect the surrounding temperature, heat-sensitive photography can reveal these and other issues that just cannot be seen by the naked eye or with conventional or digital photography.
Thermal Imaging Reports can document a hidden fault for corrective action or help you to prioritize repairs. For an energy audit, We can show exactly where cold air is entering the home or where heat is being lost…along with your energy dollars. We can help document the safety of your property, by revealing dangerous electrical hot spots, or the presence of harmful mould (mold).
Thermal Imaging allows us to deliver a more complete, thorough and in-depth Home Inspection report.
Water Leakage/Leaky Pipes
Water leakage or leaky pipes can cause serious problems in your home. Thermal Imaging can reveal wet areas that may otherwise be hidden from normal view. Identifying this problem before it gets worse is very important to avoid more serious damage. A water leak that is allowed to continue undetected can cause rot in the wood/other materials, as well as lead to mould (mold) growth.
Lost Energy
Thermal Imaging reports can also help reduce utility bills. Missing insulation, or un-insulated walls can cause loss of heat during the winter and cool air during warmer seasons. Your monthly utility bills will be higher as a result since your furnace or air conditioning units will try to compensate for the loss. Let us help you find these areas, so you can get them fixed properly.
Electrical Components
Electrical components can overheat and pose a serious threat to the safety of your home and your family. Thermal Imaging can identify problem areas that could come from overheating electrical components before they turn into an emergency situation.
