Hi Cliff, Let me preface with the fact that I’d puke a bit every time I heard someone or myself were subject to a home inspection. It was great to learn you had construction experience along with inspection experience. It was quite a while ago since my last experience (15ish yrs) and the inspector couldn’t answer basic questions, let alone the questions that an experienced plumber/gas-fitter had about other trade’s work. My friends knew to have me present during their inspections to monitor and ask the questions on their behalf. You looked for the obvious items, but more importantly, the obscure things that I thought were important. I’m glad to see the industry has at least one inspector that is willing to spend/take the time to go through even a very new house properly. Thanks for your part of our process. If and when I hear of a friend requiring an inspection, I will demand that you are the one.
